Life is about moments.
We are AVO FILM, documentary filmmakers from Hong Kong .
Six years ago, We've moved from the commercial filming to wedding documentation. To us, every wedding film we had seen felt the same: slow, dramatic, staged and without a real story. It was as if there were these unwritten rules dictating how a wedding film should look and feel.
That contrasts so wildly with how we experienced weddings. We felt the buzz. People are laughing, crying, dancing, drinking and celebrating with the people they love. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime rollercoaster ride that you never want to end. It’s a cliche, but boy does it go fast. You wish you could stay inside that bubble forever. Time machines don’t exist, but a camera does a pretty good job at capturing moments you want to last forever.
The story always comes first, not performances or trends. You will spend so much time planning the event of your lifetime, and you’ll want to relive it again and again: together, with family and friends, and perhaps one day with future generations. When you do, we want you to smell the food, hear the laughter and feel the love.
